Kunama 1957

The School Shop

It is estimated that: by the end of the year, the school shop will have sold 26,000 sandwiches, 11,000 bottles of drink and more lollies than there are miles to the sun. To be able to do this required the co-operation of mothers and pupils. We take this opportunity of recording appreciation of the fifty mothers or so, who gave their time to prepare the sandwiches. The effort of the girls, who sacrificed their lunch or recess to serve the goods, is also worthy of praise.

Besides satisfied customers, what is the final result?

It is hoped that school funds will have benefited by about £550. And all in an area of 110 square feet.
